"Sleepless gliding
Over the city lights
Watch us flying
Over the streets tonight"
"Sunday morning
Watching the city sleep
Dreams are shining
Finely they’re within reach"
Music always make me feel so much better about everything. It's always spoken to me, I can always find a song that relates to almost any situation I'm in, it just speaks to my soul.
I haven't posted anything in a while, I don't know how people keep up with this stuff. Well let's see, I did the fanzine thing about 2 times and that was it. Unfortunately, but fortunately, have been working, since I get off at 10:30 on the weekends I don't get any time to go to shows or if any kind of event is going on I have to work as well. I don't have to worry about that anymore though, I'm free of that place and looking for another job. It sucks because my head is going kinda crazy, I have to move out of the place I'm at now and into a friends house, since I'm jobless I cant afford to pay any of the rent, and neither can my mom. Right now my main focus is going to be school, which was going to be the plan anyways. I'm not bummed about loosing my job, mostly because 2 days before I got fired I had a job interview and it went really well, even went well again on wednesday. This is giving me the chance to put all my focus on school and myself. Always looking on the bright side :)
I went to EDC for my birthday, and partied for a week straight. I had such a great time, I loved my outfits, especially the one for the second day, I got to see some amazing sets. Infected Mushrooms, I danced for their entire set, which was 1:45, sober. Kaskade was amazing, I missed a couple of songs though. Deadmau5 was pretty cool, but most people said he could have done a better job, I agreed, either way still good. For saturday, I absolutely loved Above&Beyond, I cried for their set, I was so happy I got to see them. The rest of the week was just a party for me, I went to two parties on friday, and I got to see a lot of people I hadn't seen in a long time, so it was really nice to catch up with old friends.
School is going to be interesting, I still don't know what it is that I want to do. I have so many interests, I do know I wanna take a business class, so that's a good start. I'm gonna take the basic classes first to make it easier on myself and from then on I can start figuring out what I like the most.
I've been feeling really nostalgic lately, almost every song I listen to makes me feel that way. There's a lot of things, people, and feelings that I miss a lot, I wish there was a way to just fall asleep and wake up in the past to those times. I know its impossible, but a girl can dream cant she? I always try not to let myself fall too deep, if I do I might not be able to get back up, its happened before, and that wouldn't be good. Even though I have so many people that would spring me out of it like nothing. Its safer to stay in reality I guess, it feels like the days are going by faster and faster now, but my days are so long, and my nights even longer, I just want to be out all night, doing something exciting, but everyone is sleeping, and I'm still awake. I feel like this when I'm alone especially, but that's ok, I think I would rather embrace the feeling than let it bring me down. I've been hit by a lot of life's obstacles within the past couple of months to a year. The break up was the hardest, it was so weird, but I think I've been doing a good job, I'm still standing strong and I have all my friends by my side too which is always nice. One thing I am worried about is my kitty, I really don't know where I can take her, if I cant find anyone I'm just going to put her in one of those places where they watch your pets, I don't care how much it costs. I just hope I have enough money.
Well at least now I can really focus on whats most important in my life. Me, School, Jade, and of course my sanity.

Baby Jeepers!
Baby Jeepers is a fanzine, other wise known as an underground music magazine, based in Silverlake, CA. and is run by Bob Cantu, as I've mentioned in my other posts I met Bob through Sylvia, and now I'm writing in his fanzine which is pretty awesome.
The 3rd issue which I contributed to is out now, last week on Friday the 13th, there was a show to celebrate the 3rd issue, it was a lot of fun, the bands were incredible! Swords of Fatima was such a unique band, I have never heard anything like them before, they were so good! I absolutely fell in love with Peg Leg Love, they had this old rockabilly rock n roll feel mixed in with a bit of surf, their CD came with a copy of the zine, I listen to it a lot!
Here's the cover of the zine.

And here is my review!

You can go and get a copy at...

Awesome News!
So I have finally decided what it is that I wish to do with my future, as I've always loved art and music I want to do something that involves both, Sylvia Juncosa, who is in a band, has been helping me out, I've been helping her out with some album art, and photo's as well. Sylvia's friend Bob Cantu, runs a fanzine called Baby Jeepers, On Sept 25 I was at the Legion Hall, Sylvia had just finished her set or I think was about to go on when Bob came up to me and was telling me that he might be needing help with his zine, I was so surprised, he told me that I should think long and hard about it because it's a lot of hard work, so I did. I called him back the next day and told him that we should meet somewhere so we can talk, we met that monday at the Casbah cafe in Silverlake, we talked and I told him I didn't care how hard it was or what it took, it's what I want to do. So we talked some more, he said he would give me a spot in the zine to write reviews and stuff, I also told him about a band I had currently seen. I asked him for advice on certain things and I'm also going to help him promote his shows. So now I'm currently working on a review for a band called Kasio Antaxia, they are incredible, and even better live. I'm going to see them again today.
There's a lot going for me with this, I'm just really surprised by how quickly it all happened. Oh and Bob also books bands, so I've been going to a few shows, going on myspace and looking for some bands that would be good to book. It's really fun, I get to meet all sorts of people.
I still have a long way to go and a lot to learn of course. As I go along on this crazy journey I'll be posting stuff up on here.

I had the craziest weirdest thing happen to me the other day.
This past monday my friend Camille slept over, we had a good time, we went to see District 9 which i have to say was an excellent movie, if you saw it and didn't like it then you just weren't paying enough attention to the message it was sending and you need to go back and watch it!
So any who, the next day which was Tuesday, 25. We went to venice beach with our friend, we walked about and got bored, we were broke and we couldnt get into the water so we left, as we were leaving this guy was walking towards us and got in our way so i moved to the side to let him pass, then he moved in front of me and so i went the other way, as we kept walking i realized i had gotten infront of this girl with crutches, i felt bad so i walked up and appologized, its just in my nature to be nice. As i told her i was sorry i realized we were about to miss the bus, and we did, so we decided to just go to subway, once we were inside the girl with crutches came in and we all kinda laughed. We all sat down and i told my friends if she sits alone im gonna ask her to sit with us. She sat alone so i told her we'd keep her company, we talked and what not and traded our myspace info, and went our seperate ways.
Now that night me and camille decided to go to papa johns, we went, we ate and as we were leaving the weirdest thing happened. This guy asked us what we got, we told him we got the special, which is only 7 dollars, as he leaves he puts 7 dollars on our pizza box, we look at him with a blank look on our faces and he just leaves, we yell thank you to him but are left confused. I turn around to face a girl that works there and she looks surprised and confused too, we stand there for a bit looking dumbfounded and walk out and try to see where this nice guy went off to. Unfortunately he was long gone, but that entire time we were just so confused by what had just happened. This guy was so nice and so generous, it makes you think, there really are some nice people out there, It gives you a nice feeling to know that not everyone in the world is an asshole. I know camille and i have done our share of nice things for people, and we have always been very selfless, I guess thats how karma works. I know im not ever going to forget about that night and that very nice guy. Wherever he is i thank him.

Starting Of A New Blog
So this is my new blog I've decided to start. I shall post my photography and my artwork on here and hopefully get some insight and critique.
I will also post art by others that inspire me or that I just like :)
I've always been really lucky with things, and I've always met lots of interesting people.
But meeting Sylvia Juncosa has to be one of the luckiest. I was even introduced to Moni Kellermann, not in person but through myspace haha.
Check out her websites.
